Our Trails

About Us

Broadford-Ashford Walking Trails (formerly Mullaghareirk Walking Trails) has been a community amenity since 1999. We have eight waymarked trails with storyboards that capture important local history and details of the flora and fauna that can be seen along the routes. The trails won the Get Involved Sustainable Initiative Award in 2016. Details about the areas flora and fauna can be found in a recent Broadford biodiversity report.

The trails are National Trails Office accredited which means improvement and maintenance work needs to be completed throughout the year. Our means of fundraising are limited at the moment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Your kind donation made securely via PayPal will go towards the ongoing maintenance of the trails in the community.
